Technical Training Symposiums

Value & Benefits

Here are some of the unique aspects of our Technical Train Symposiums:

  • Participation is by invitation only. The Host Company invites only those vendors who are currently supplying approved products or those who have products which they feel may be of use to them in the foreseeable future.
  • Products displayed are clearly marked approved or non-approved thus encouraging proliferation of approved products, while allowing first-hand evaluation of non-approved products by technicians, managers and executives.
  • Exhibits can be much simpler and less costly than traditional trade shows, since the primary emphasis is on hands-on training on your products in your booth. Your exhibit booth is called a training station.
  • The Technical Training Symposium is only open to employees of the host company and is populated by all types of technicians and all levels of management, from supervisors to vice-presidents, and occasionally a president.
  • All attendees are required to pre-register for a curriculum that best fits their needs on the job. They are required to attend at least three seminars and visit fifteen training stations in order to earn a Certificate of Completion, which becomes a part of their permanent training record. Each vendor booth is considered a training station, and you will be supplied with stickers to apply to their Training Tally Card which will verify that the attendee has participated in the hands-on training at your booth. This ensures a lot of activity at every booth.
  • The hands-on training and demo sessions at your booth not only give your product outstanding exposure to the technicians as well as to the management of the company, but also help ensure that your product is being used properly in the field. This makes it more likely that your client will be satisfied and buy more of them. It also gives you the opportunity to get direct feedback from the users of your products which will alert you to installation, operational or maintenance problems before they become serious. This feedback may also provide suggestions that might make your product much more desirable in the marketplace.
  • The attendees do not pay any fees for attending the symposium. This is the only way the host company will agree to release their technicians for a day at the symposium. With a small percentage of exceptions you will have a totally new audience each day of the symposium.
  • Some vendors are asked to participate in the seminars, where appropriate. Also attendees are directed to visit the hands-on training stations that have application to the subject of the seminar. Thus many are primed to hear more about your products when they arrive at your booth.
  • If you are invited to the first symposium you will most likely be invited to any subsequent symposiums. The symposiums are moved around the host company territory to make it convenient for employees to attend without incurring costly travel or overnight costs. This gradually allows your products to be featured throughout the entire company, and also allows you to build lasting relationships with your clients that should prove valuable to your business.
  • The Host Company sincerely appreciates your participation. You are making it possible to bring their employees up to date with the latest technologies, as well as to help ensure that their employees are using the products that they are buying from you in a proper and most efficient manner. Your company name and your products are mentioned quite frequently in the host company planning process as well as in the symposium
  • Food and drinks are provided free of charge throughout each day to you, the vendor, as well as all attendees on the symposium premises. This accomplishes two things: It ensures that attendees do not leave for lunch and not return, and best of all it allows you the opportunity to have lunch with your clients in an environment that is most conducive to good and productive discussion.
  • While sales pitches are not a part of the symposiums, the exposure and relationships built will be very valuable. To facilitate follow-ups, every attendee badge is numbered. You will receive a printout after the symposium which will allow matching the badge numbers to names and addresses.
